Arceus is known as "The Original One", Arceus is credited with being creating the entire Pokemon Universe. And is master of both the lake guardians and the creation trio.

Guardians, and Trios of Legendary pokemon serve to protect, and represent an aspect of the Universe.

These God-like pokemon have a hierachy of power, and hides many religious aspects.

Symbolism,
The Star of David? Gym Badges?
The simplest objects in the Pokemon Universe have interesting similarities to world religious symbols. Most notable of those is the Seal of Solomon. This seal has notable symbolism because of Judaism, who use it as the Star of David, their staple symbol.
The Pokemon Franchise is vast, and with it comes a vast universe. This website looks to compare and contrast Religious aspects of our world with the Pokemon world. Pokemon is heavily based on the idea of co-existance; People and creature living together and working together.
